I found out about Knight Rider back in 2002 (I was about 14) when they decided to replay that classic on a Sci-Fi channel. I was intrigued, all they showed was the red scanner in the commercial, the first airing date and it was called K2000 for us french peeps. Scanner, K2000, must be sci-fi as fuck and I loved anything that was Sci-Fi related! I waited and waited and then I saw the second episode (yeah they skipped the pilot and all the specials). I was hooked instantly. I was looking at more info about KR one day and when I found out it was made in 1982 I was mind blown! It looked good IMO, a bit old but not 1982 old!

When Super Pursuit Mode came up...I had to change pants, multiple times.

I was constantly checking websites for other fans replicas of KITT (I hated KARR for a good while), daydreaming about the 2002 movie they were supposed to do with the 2002 Trans Am, checking for Trans Ams on classified ads even though I was no where close to get a licence yet. I remember following the work of a guy that was doing a functional Super Pursuit Mode for his Trans Am. I was downloading episodes, that I thought I didn't see on KaZaa. I was saving the intros of all the seasons on my hard drive to watch them again and again. I was walking around making the scanner noise with my mouth. (die hard fan..)

Then I found out about Knight Rider 2000 (1991). Instant fangasm even if most people would say it was shit. I WANTED THAT KIFT! Now Knight Rider 2010 (1994)....No comment. Then years later I saw Team Knight Rider. It's a typical Viper like tv show from the 90's. Good but not great.

In 2003, Knight Rider Archive release this saying that it's the intro of a Knight Rider game that was coming out really soon. Can you imagine how hyped I was??? Then I saw Davilex and said...wait...that's not good. Then the demo came out...I was sad, really sad. I finished it in 3 hours and only the intro was worthy but they didn't stop there. They made a second game of KR! Blasphemy I say!

And rumors of Knight Rider coming back in 2007 got my blood boiling. I waited and waited and this is what I get in 2008??

Since when did Knight Rider became a slowmo Viper wannabe??? And got worst with the TV series.

NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! And this is why I'm not as much of a vivid fan of KR anymore. The End.

Thanks this was so by chance and right after there was this story put up on the front page. I also thought it was a whole write up how he paid 2000 for the dash, this is all I can find though. http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/area-man-build…
I seen it go by, thought I missed it. But it happened to be going in a big circle parade route. I practically jumped in his lap to get that picture.
